SVF therapy is an innovative regenerative medicine procedure in which the body's own fatty tissue is used to treatinjuries and degenerative diseases - particularly in the area of joints and soft tissue. This therapy makes use of the natural regenerative abilities of the stem and progenitor cells contained in the fatty tissue and is primarily used for orthopaedic complaints such as osteoarthritis, cartilage damage or tendon injuries.
Wear and tear on joints occurs more and more frequently with increasing age and an active lifestyle and has therefore become a real "widespread disease". As damaged cartilage tissue cannot regenerate on its own, cartilage damage was long considered irreversible - often the only option was artificial joint replacement. Traditional measures such as painkillers or physiotherapy usually only alleviate the symptoms without promoting tissue regeneration.
Adipose tissue is particularly rich in mesenchymal stem cells, growth factors and bioactive molecules that can inhibit inflammation, support healing and positively influence joint metabolism. By injecting this processed cell fraction (SVF) into the affected area, pain can often be significantly reduced and, in the best case, the progression of degenerative processes can be slowed down.
Through gentle, minimally invasive liposuction - usually on the abdomen - a small amount of fatty tissue is removed.
The removed fatty tissue is purified and digested in a special process to isolate the stromal vascular fraction (SVF). This contains stem cells, vascular cells and other regenerative components.
The SVF obtained is injected directly into the affected joint, the injured tendon or other damaged tissue under sterile conditions.

Die SVF-Therapie gilt als risikoarm. Möglich sind vorübergehende Schwellungen oder Blutergüsse an der Entnahmestelle sowie – selten – Infektionen.
Initial scientific studies and clinical experience show promising results: Many patients report noticeable pain relief, improved mobility and increased quality of life. In our practice, too, we continue to achieve very good results and see how many patients benefit from this therapy in the long term.
