Interval hypoxia-hyperoxia therapy - altitude training for your health

MITOVIT® hypoxia training is a modern, non-stressful method in which you breathe in oxygen-reduced air in a controlled manner - comparable to a stay in the mountains. This therapy stimulates your metabolism in a natural way, supports cell regeneration and contributes noticeably to more energy and lasting well-being.

In our practice, the training takes place comfortably in a sitting or lying position and is perceived by many patients as relaxing - a good opportunity to calm down. One session lasts 45 to 60 minutes. We recommend two treatments per week over five to six weeks.

How does IHHT work in the body?

Similar to physical training, your cells can also be trained - without any effort at all. If the oxygen content in the air you breathe is temporarily reduced, your cells automatically respond with an increase in performance.

The mitochondria - the "energy power plants" of your cells - become more efficient and their ability to produce energy (ATP production) improves. This has a positive effect on many physical processes. The study of this cellular adaptation to oxygen deficiency was awarded the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 2019.

Olympic rowing champion Oliver Zeidler initially used our IHHT to strengthen his immune system and later to improve his performance. He was already training with the MITOVIT® system in our practice in 2022. In preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, he completed ten sessions within five weeks - with success: Olympic gold medal in the 2024 single sculls.
