Art that moves you: UNBREAKABLE at the ROC in Aschheim

Our Open ROC was a very special afternoon for us. Together with numerous visitors, we were able not only to offer a glimpse into our facilities and our interdisciplinary approach, but also to create a space for connection, exchange, and inspiration. A special highlight was the opening of the art exhibition UNBREAKABLE by artist Alexander Palacios. Since then, his impressive photographs have been a permanent feature for our patients and visitors throughout the ROC facilities in Aschheim, lending our practice areas a very special atmosphere.

The story behind UNBREAKABLE

The title UNBREAKABLE was not chosen at random. In his work, Alexander Palacios draws, among other things, on his own experiences with accidents, fractures, and personal challenges. This is precisely why his works explore themes such as strength and vulnerability, identity, belonging, and inner resilience.

The exhibition brings together works that navigate the space between personal experience and social reality. This gives rise to fascinating contrasts: body and surface, closeness and distance, control and letting go.

The works address social issues without presenting them in a definitive way. Instead, they create space for viewers to form their own thoughts, perspectives, and interpretations. UNBREAKABLE is not intended as a definitive statement, but rather as an invitation to rethink our perceptions and recognize the common ground that exists within our differences.
